What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience (law firm or professional services preferred)
- Hands-on experience with trust/IOLTA accounting and reconciliations
- Strong background in billing systems, client payment plans, collections, and A/R management
- Solid proficiency with accounting software, legal billing systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Practical experience using AI tools and automation to improve finance workflows
- High integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Run day-to-day financial operations: accounting, billing, A/R, A/P, payroll, trust accounting, and collections
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and key financial reports on time
- Build annual and periodic budgets plus forward-looking cash flow forecasts
- Own the firm's billing and collections process, including client invoices, payment plans, and A/R aging
- Monitor and reconcile trust/IOLTA accounts and resolve discrepancies with urgency
- Design and enforce internal financial controls; support audits, tax preparation, and financial reviews
- Oversee the bookkeeper, billing staff, and outside providers with clear direction and feedback
- Improve finance workflows across QuickBooks, Stripe, Google Sheets, and Asana
- Explain complex financial information in plain English to non-financial leaders
