Salary: PKR 180,000 - 180,000 / mo
A public sector organization is looking for an Assistant Manager (IT/Software) for its Karachi office on a contract basis. The role supports the organization's software and IT systems, working on development and day-to-day technical operations. It suits a fresh computer science or IT graduate with a strong academic record who wants to build a career in public sector technology. The position offers a lump-sum monthly salary of Rs 180,000.
What we're looking for:
- BE or BSc Engineering in Computer or IT with first division, or an equivalent four-year BCS, BIT or BSE degree with first division
- Alternatively MCS or MIT with first division after a two-year bachelor's degree, or MCS after a four-year BCS, or MSc Engineering (Computer/IT) with first division
- All degrees must be from HEC or PEC recognized institutions
- Only one second division in the entire academic record is acceptable, and no third division at any stage
- Relevant experience in software or IT will be an advantage but is not compulsory
- Age between 18 and 35 years as on 15 November 2026
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Support the design, development and upkeep of the organization's software applications
- Help maintain IT systems and resolve routine technical issues for users
- Assist in testing new software and documenting system changes
- Coordinate with team members to keep software projects on schedule
- Prepare basic reports on system performance and pending tasks
- Follow organizational IT policies and data security practices
