NBP's Corporate and Investment Banking group is hiring an Associate for its Karachi head office on a three-year contract. The role supports the Unit Head of Corporate Finance in getting deals done: carrying out due diligence, building financial models, drafting credit approvals and keeping all transaction files and trackers in order. What we're looking for:
- Minimum graduation from an HEC-recognized local or international university; a Master's degree or professional qualification is a plus
- At least 2 years in banking or financial institutions, with 1 year in corporate or investment banking
- Good relationship management skills and the ability to read client needs and shape suitable products
- Able to carry out basic financial analysis
- Clear spoken and written communication
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Help the Unit Head execute transactions through due diligence, modeling and discussions with clients, advisors, lawyers and other banks
- Draft credit approvals and handle other internal approval steps
- Gather and organize financing and security documents for each deal
- Team up with business and support functions to structure, market and close client business
- Deliver assigned KPIs around fee income
- Keep transaction files, models and trackers accurate and current, and protect client confidentiality
