BankIslami Pakistan Limited, one of Pakistan's leading Islamic commercial banks, is hiring a Branch Manager to take charge of branch performance and growth. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced banker who can drive business, keep operations tight, and lead a small branch team. The successful candidate will own the branch's P&L, deepen customer relationships, and make sure everything runs in line with SBP regulations and the bank's internal controls.
What we're looking for:
- Master's degree or graduation in a relevant discipline; JAIBP or Certified Islamic Banker (CIB) will be a plus
- At least five years of relevant banking experience, including two years as a branch manager
- Solid command of branch sales, P&L management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach people, solve problems, and plan staffing effectively
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Take full ownership of day-to-day branch operations while ensuring every process follows bank policy and regulatory standards
- Grow the branch's business through sales initiatives and relationship-based business development
- Lead, coach and manage a team of five branch staff, including performance reviews and day-to-day guidance
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to keep satisfaction and retention high
- Manage the branch budget, track profit and loss, and keep costs under control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk protocols, including BSA/AML requirements
- Oversee cash reconciliation and enforce internal controls that protect branch assets
