Abbott Laboratories Pakistan is hiring a Chemical Manager for its Quality function at the Karachi plant. The role leads the Finished Goods section of the quality control laboratory, making sure products are tested and released on time and to the highest quality and safety standards. It is a senior lab leadership role for an experienced pharmaceutical quality professional who can manage a team, uphold compliance and keep operations running smoothly.
What we're looking for:
- Background in pharmaceutical quality control and laboratory operations
- Strong understanding of EHS and quality standards in a lab environment
- Experience leading and coaching a technical team
- Solid grip on data integrity and compliance principles
- Experience planning and conducting internal quality audits
- Good analytical, problem-solving and team management skills
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Lead and oversee the Finished Goods section of the quality control laboratory
- Monitor finished goods release and make sure testing never causes delays or stockouts
- Oversee EHS and quality compliance across laboratory operations
- Enforce strict data integrity and compliance standards in all analytical work
- Plan and conduct internal audits and follow through on findings
- Coach and manage the QC team and drive performance against departmental goals
