ACTED Pakistan, an international humanitarian organisation working in Pakistan since 1993, is looking for a Cook for its Hyderabad office. The role covers daily meal preparation for staff, visitors and guests, along with keeping the kitchen clean, safe and well stocked. It suits someone with hands-on cooking experience who takes hygiene and food safety seriously.
What we're looking for:
- At least 3 years of cooking experience
- Good cooking and food preparation skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
- Ability to manage a kitchen and keep it clean and organised
- Punctual, honest and reliable with a positive attitude
- Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors
- Willingness to follow the organisation's code of conduct and safeguarding policies
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Prepare and serve daily meals for staff, visitors and guests
- Keep food preparation hygienic and in line with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, utensils and equipment
- Store food items properly and keep track of kitchen supplies and groceries
- Prepare tea and refreshments for staff and official visitors when needed
- Support catering arrangements for meetings, workshops and trainings
- Use cooking equipment, gas and appliances safely and report any hazards
- Avoid wastage of food, water, electricity and gas
