Salary: PKR Negotiable
Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), the country's specialist agricultural lender, is hiring a database administrator at its head office in Islamabad. This is a regular position at the AVP-I/AVP grade for an experienced professional with at least eight years of hands-on database work across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL environments. What we're looking for:
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on database administration experience
- Strong command of Oracle (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate), plus MSSQL and MySQL
- Proven skill in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and backup/recovery
- Working knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting
- At least a bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognized university
- Maximum age 40 years as of the application closing date
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Administer Oracle databases in both RAC and single-instance environments
- Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL database environments
- Handle database migrations, upgrades, and system integrations
- Tune performance and troubleshoot production database issues
- Manage backups and disaster recovery using tools like RMAN and Oracle Data Guard
- Install, patch, and secure database systems, applying updates regularly
- Work with Linux servers and write shell scripts to automate routine tasks
