The Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department of the Government of Punjab is hiring a General Manager for Analytics to lead the analytics work of its Strategic Planning Unit in Lahore. The unit is the department's central arm for strategy, planning and coordination across Punjab's skills ecosystem, covering bodies such as PSDF, TEVTA, PVTC, PSDA and PBTE. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced analytics professional who can turn labour market and programme data into clear direction for skills policy. The appointment is on a three-year contract, extendable on satisfactory performance.
What we're looking for:
- PhD in IT, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, ICT, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or an equivalent field from an HEC-recognised university, with 8 years of relevant professional experience
- OR 16 years of education in the same fields with 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Age up to 50 years
- Experience of working with data to support strategy, planning or policy decisions
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Lead the analytics function of the Strategic Planning Unit, turning data into evidence for strategy and planning decisions
- Support strategy formulation and performance monitoring across the department's skills programmes and attached bodies
- Analyse labour market trends and skill gaps so training initiatives match what employers need
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Work with programme and planning teams to strengthen data use and reporting across the unit
- Guide analytical standards and good practice in data handling and reporting
