The Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department of Punjab is looking for a General Manager Digitalization to lead its digital work from Lahore. The role sits in the department's Strategic Planning Unit and covers the digital systems behind skill development, workforce improvement and entrepreneurship programmes across the province. This is a senior leadership position for an experienced IT professional who can drive technology-led change in a public sector organisation. The post is offered on contract with a Management Position Scale-II package, and applications are submitted online through the Punjab Jobs Portal.
What we're looking for:
- PhD in IT, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, ICT or an equivalent discipline from an HEC-recognized university, with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience
- OR 16 years of education in IT, AI, Computer Science, ICT, Software Engineering or an equivalent field from an HEC-recognized university, with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Maximum age 50 years, with age relaxation as per Punjab government rules
- Strong background in digital systems, IT management and digitalization-related work
- Government and semi-government employees must apply through the proper channel

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Lead the department's digitalization initiatives and manage its digital systems and processes
- Oversee planning and delivery of technology-led improvements to skill development and entrepreneurship programmes
- Guide digital transformation work within the Strategic Planning Unit in Lahore
- Coordinate with department teams to align digital systems with programme and administrative needs
- Monitor progress of digitalization work and report outcomes to senior management
- Ensure digital initiatives support the department's workforce development goals
