Luqaimat The Original is launching an authentic Emirati street-food restaurant in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, serving Luqaimat, Ragag, Jebab/Chebab, Kunafa and Arabic coffee. The restaurant is looking for an experienced Head Chef who can independently run the whole kitchen and back-of-house operation, from setting up the kitchen and standardising recipes to managing the team, costs and food safety, and help take the new concept from launch to steady service. The role offers a market-competitive salary along with communication allowance, incentive bonus, leaves and medical cover.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of professional culinary, bakery or pastry experience
- Authentic Emirati, Khaleeji or Arabic food experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in Luqaimat, Ragag, Jebab/Chebab or Kunafa is a major advantage
- Experience managing a commercial kitchen and back-of-house team
- Strong knowledge of recipe costing, portion control, hygiene and inventory
- UAE or GCC restaurant experience highly preferred
- Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Rawalpindi/Islamabad
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Prepare authentic Emirati street food, desserts and bakery products
- Lead the complete kitchen and back-of-house operation
- Develop and standardise recipes, portions and presentation, keeping taste and authenticity consistent
- Plan daily production and make sure orders are prepared on time
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise kitchen staff
- Manage inventory, purchasing, food costs and wastage, and set kitchen SOPs and food-safety standards
