MCB Islamic Bank is inviting applications for an Officer Information Security to work on governance, compliance and IT security awareness across its Lahore and Karachi offices. The role sits at the heart of the bank's information security function, helping it stay aligned with State Bank regulations and international security standards. You will track compliance requirements, support audits and examinations, and help build a culture where every employee understands their part in keeping the bank secure. It suits a security or risk professional with at least two years of relevant experience who enjoys structured, detail-driven work.
What we're looking for:
- A minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management or a related discipline from an HEC recognised university
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in information security, GRC, IT risk, regulatory compliance, audit or cybersecurity
- A working understanding of frameworks and standards such as SBP ETGRF, ISO 27001, NIST CSF and PCI DSS
- Strong documentation, coordination and reporting skills, with attention to detail
- The ability to work with Business, IT, Cybersecurity, Risk and Internal Audit teams to close action items on time
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Monitor and assess compliance with regulatory frameworks and supervisory requirements
- Identify, document and track information security compliance requirements and maintain the obligations register
- Help develop, review and maintain security policies, standards, procedures and control frameworks
- Support regulatory examinations, internal and external audits and security assessments by coordinating evidence and documentation
- Track audit observations, management action plans and remediation work through to closure
- Prepare compliance dashboards, management reports and security metrics, and promote security awareness across the bank
