Salary: PKR 212,630 - 212,630 / mo
Government College University Lahore is hiring two Research Officers for its Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics at the university's New Campus in Kala Shah Kaku. This is a six month contract role under a PSDP funded development project, offering an all inclusive monthly salary of Rs 212,630. The role suits a PhD holder who enjoys hands on research work and working closely with scientific equipment and experiments. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1,000 applies, payable by bank draft or pay order in favour of the Vice Chancellor, GC University, Lahore. Applications are submitted on the university's prescribed form and must reach the Registrar Office by 25 November 2026.
What we're looking for:
- PhD in a relevant field from a recognised university
- Hands on experience in installing and operating scientific equipment
- Sound understanding of physics research methods and laboratory practice
- Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Maximum age 40 years, with age relaxation under Punjab Government rules
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Support scientific research and experiments at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics
- Install, operate and look after research equipment used in the project
- Help plan and run experiments and record results carefully
- Work with fellow researchers and technical staff to keep the project moving
- Prepare clear reports and documentation on research work and equipment use
- Follow the university's research and safety procedures at all times
