Style Textile, a leading textile and apparel manufacturer in Pakistan, is hiring a System Engineer for its facility at Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, Lahore. The role keeps the company's servers, data center, networks and IT systems running reliably in a busy manufacturing environment. It suits an experienced infrastructure professional comfortable with Windows and Linux servers, virtualization and security. What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
- 5 to 7 years of relevant infrastructure or system administration experience
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux and VMware virtualization
- Knowledge of PowerShell/VBScript, backups and disaster recovery
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to provide off-hours support during upgrades or emergencies
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Manage and maintain data center operations, servers, storage and networking equipment
- Administer Windows and Linux servers, monitor performance and maintain system stability
- Plan and carry out operating system and firmware upgrades with minimal downtime
- Diagnose and resolve server, storage and infrastructure issues promptly
- Oversee backup procedures and support disaster recovery planning
- Apply security patches, monitor vulnerabilities and provide second-level IT support
