Salary: PKR 400,000 - 650,000 / mo
PERA is Punjab's enforcement and regulatory authority, set up to act against hoarding, profiteering and illegal land grabbing. Its Directorate General in Lahore is building an in-house AI capability and is looking for a Team Lead (AI and ML) to head that work. The role sits on a three-year contract under the Special PERA Pay Package, with a monthly salary of Rs 400,000 to Rs 650,000. What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized university.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI and machine learning solutions, plus experience leading a technical team.
- Strong working knowledge of Python and R, common AI and machine learning frameworks, and data analytics.
- Able to explain technical work clearly to non-technical colleagues and document it properly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Lead the team that designs, builds and puts AI and machine learning solutions into use across the authority.
- Build models that make sense of enforcement, complaint and day-to-day operational data.
- Check the code, models and results produced by team members and keep quality high.
- Work with other departments to turn their operational needs into practical AI use cases.
- Put models into production, keep an eye on how they perform and keep improving them.
- Record how models and data pipelines work so the work can be repeated and audited.
