Salary: PKR 950,000 - 950,000 / mo
The Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department of the Government of the Punjab is setting up a Strategic Management Unit to steer its heritage and tourism development programme, and is looking for an experienced Team Lead to run it. The role leads planning, coordination and delivery of projects that protect historic sites and grow tourism across the province. It is a senior, project-based appointment based in Lahore, offered on a contract running to the end of 2027 with a possible one-year extension.
What we're looking for:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or Urban Planning from an HEC-recognised university, or a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Urban Planning.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 20 years with a Bachelor's degree, including project leadership.
- Background in heritage conservation, infrastructure development, urban planning or major public-sector development projects.
- Experience in public-sector development planning and project appraisal preferred.
- Punjab domicile; age between 50 and 60 years.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Lead the Strategic Management Unit and oversee its heritage and tourism development work.
- Coordinate technical planning and implementation across SMU projects.
- Guide project appraisal and work with government departments, consultants and development partners.
- Oversee infrastructure development and heritage conservation initiatives.
- Track progress, report to senior management and support destination-development planning.
