UBL is hiring a Unit Head for Enterprise Risk Management in Karachi to own the bank's enterprise and operational risk architecture, bring in global best practice, and provide senior leadership to the function, working closely with executive management and the Board. The role reports to the Head of ERM.
What we're looking for:
- A degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in banking, including 8+ years in senior enterprise or operational risk roles.
- A demonstrated record of leading ERM framework, risk taxonomy and risk appetite design and implementation at institutional level, with deep operational risk expertise in incidents, RCSA and KRIs.
- Executive presence: able to influence senior management and the Board, lead cross-functional programmes, and build and develop high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Set and take ownership of the bank's enterprise and operational risk architecture.
- Embed global best practice across both enterprise risk and operational risk.
- Provide senior leadership to the ERM unit, reporting to the Head of ERM.
- Shape the bank's risk strategy and risk appetite.
- Build consensus with executive management and the Board so the risk agenda can be implemented.
